Police StateObama regime bans wood-burning stoves. Wants you to rely on government for heat.

The Obama administration is waging a war on self-reliance.

About 12.4 million homes have a wood-burning stove. About 2.4 million households use them as their primary source of heat. As Obama drives up oil and coal prices, demand for wood-burning stoves have increased. In fact, Obama’s aggressive war against coal and oil has prompted many Americans to buy wood-burning boilers and furnaces.

Now the Obama administration is banning the sale of 80% of wood-burning stoves, claiming they pollute the environment.

By banning wood-burning stoves, Obama will increase the price of coal and oil even more, by increasing demand.

The logic used by the Obama administration would imply that fireplaces pose an equal or greater danger, depending on the style of fireplace. Will the Obama regime ban the construction of new fireplaces next?

From NewsMax.com…

The Environmental Protection Agency recently imposed restrictions on wood-burning stoves that will deal a blow to rural Americans who rely on wood to heat their homes.

Critics charge that the rule changes were enacted following pressure from environmental groups.

The EPA tightened restrictions in January on the level of fine airborne particulate emissions that wood-burning stoves can emit, from 15 micrograms per cubic meter to a maximum of 12 micrograms.

The EPA restrictions would ban the production and sale of the kinds of wood-burning stoves that compose 80 percent of those currently in use in the United States, Forbes reported.

“Although this is an ancient technology, it can provide a solution for high heating costs in many parts of the country,” Laura Huggins, a research fellow for both the Hoover Institution and the Property and Environment Research Center, told Newsmax.

“With up to one-third of this country’s energy consumption used for heating, policymakers would be wise to consider the benefits of wood as a heat source,” Huggins said.

In the face of tightening economies and rising heating costs, more Americans have been turning to cheaper, archaic sources for heat, especially those in poorer areas.

The number of households heating with wood grew 34 percent from 2000 to 2010, with 2.4 million homes, or 2.1 percent of U.S. housing units, using wood as their primary heating source, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Nearly 10 million additional homes use wood to supplement their primary heat source, the U.S. Energy Information Administration disclosed.

Huggins said environmentalists should cheer the use of this energy source.

“Fuel for wood heating is a renewable resource, and under the right circumstances can be local and sustainable,” Huggins said.

Wood-burning stoves can provide a large amount of heat in the winter. About 2.4 million homes use one as their primary source of heat.

Does this then lead to a ban on campfires? Can anyone believe this is actually happening?! If they try to ban camping we’ll be witnessing the biggest bonfires ever beheld by man, which I think many rural people may be ready to light up once the government comes to take their warmth away! Does everyone concur that this Madness?

    • obamaisafool

yes. But did you expect anything different? Any form of independence will be banned.

    • http://cofcc.org/ Kyle Rogers

Camp fires are 20 times more dangerous. I caught a shoe on fire once. Better ban em.

      • FinlayOdalric

It is a fact that matches and lighters cause many very serious burns every year. Though they may not be a large carbon source one match or lighter at a time, collectively, I’m absolutely sure they are responsible for melting the ice caps and drowning 6 million polar bears.

Think of the 6 million polar bears! Ban all matches and lighters!

        • Leslie Griffin

Ban penguins! They wiped out the Antarctic polar bears!

        Just ban tennis shoes?

      • whthfk1

Ban smoking.. I’m pretty sure all the Forest Fires we have been having since 2009 has been all obama’s fault.. Throwing his menthols out of the Window of Air Farce One… The farce is for obama of course.

      • Earl P. Holt III

        How intoxicated were you…?

    • Kyle

This is part of the Jooish new world order to attack whites even more and force a tiny white minority into a crowded black and hispanic massive city ghetto. These leftist want rural areas depopulated and the land returned into wilderness. They know most whites prefer the country or the small town atmosphere and that is what this is all about, taking away the ability to survive in the wilderness on your own.

      • Runaboutsocietyman

Wow. An effort to reduce pollution in the future is somehow a “Jooish” effort to push the “white minority” into a “black and hispanic massive city ghetto.” Racist much?

        • OutWest Landowner

Kyle is a libturd troll who is only posting this trying to make honest American look bad.

          • Moto

The guy you’re replying to has 17 comments. All of them on this site. At least one of them praises Obama as intelligent and they all betray an obvious leftist bias.

I would not be surprised to find out that this guy is getting paid to post these comments by the administration.

          • ConcernedReader

Of course you wouldn’t. Because it reflects your ignorance. I posted those comments because I couldn’t pass up the chance to converse with people who can’t look at any set of facts without adding some screwball bias.

Paid by the administration? Please. I’m a third-year law student. I receive no pay from any administration. I researched some of the claims made by people commenting here and found them to be wholly untrue. I posted scientific fact, backed by no party, and my comments were all summarily banned because whomever moderates this site can’t defend his views, not it seems can you.

If making rational arguments based on non-partisan facts about the by-products of woodburning is leftist, then I’m a leftist. It seems much easier for you to throw around names than it is to provide a non-speculative reason for why I might be wrong.

        • obot

Wow, the race card. Libtard much?

          • Runaboutsocietyman

Your comment means nothing. Libtard? Race card? Yes, when a person is talking about “Jooish” plots and forcing white people to live in “black and hispanic massive city ghettos,” that’s about as racist and ignorant as it gets.

          • Moto

“Racism” is not ignorance. There are hundreds of studies, replicatable studies by independent, government, and international scientists over the span of 200 years proving any number of “racist” statements.

There is not a single piece of evidence for the belief that all races are equal. You keep saying “ignorant”, but in fact, it is you who knows absolutely nothing except the slogans the Joos have taught you.

“Diversity is Strength”,”Race is a social construct”,Whites are Privileged Oppressors”,”We all bleed red”.

You simpering fool, are you aware that a black/white mixed race mongrel can’t even get a bone marrow transplant because the marrows from different races don’t match up?

They ARE forcing whites to live in black and latino ghettoes. England was 100% white for 2000 years, in 25 or 30 years, they will be a minority in their ancestral land. Do you think that’s THEIR doing? In England, just like in the USA and everywhere else on the globe, the majority are strongly OPPOSED to mass immigration.

They are supposed to live under democratic governance, but yet mass immigration was imposed upon them, despite their protestations, by the EU. Most of the influential elite in the EU are JOOS.

If you paid attention to what was going in the world,i.e., if you weren’t IGNORANT, you’d see that the same pattern is taking place EVERYWHERE whites have traditionally lived in all-white countries.

Recently in Greece,a populist party called the Golden Dawn, legally elected by their country was talking about stopping the immigration. The leader of a leftist opposition party currently in power went to America to meet with the ADL,the JDL, the SPLC and other JOOISH power brokers. When he came back, dozens of illegal raids were conducted on Golden Dawn offices and the legally elected MP’s (that’s the delegates to the EU) were arrested on absolutely no evidence of any wrongdoing and their party was illegally dissolved by the Greek government.

You are the one who is PROFOUNDLY ignorant and “racism” has consistently been proven scientifically correct by thousands of studies over the last 200 years.

          • ConcernedReader

I said racist AND ignorant. They are two separate things. England is currently 85% white. How do you go from 85% to a minority in less than one generation? And a “black-white mixed race mongrel” is easily the most racist thing I’ve heard all day.

The world isn’t white people. The world is made of all different types of races. If you’re really as gung-ho about whites and white power as you seem to be there’s a certain European country you would have been very welcome in during the early 1940′s.

I’m talking about Germany during the second World War, just to save you a trip to Wikipedia.

          • Uncle Bob

At least there were white countries back then, but thanks to the “enlightened” minds like you, Iceland is the only country with a white future. Your 20th century mode of thinking has put our race, culture, and all of western civilization on a path to extinction. Add birth control, abortion, feminism, promotion of buggery and race mixing, we’ll soon wake up to find the playgrounds are empty, the school houses abandoned, while foreigners line up to pick the carcass of our dead civilization.

          • Dani

“How do you go from 85% to a minority in less than one generation?”

You’re about to find out in your lifetime you vacuous dolt. That is, without a doubt, the most ignorant statement I’VE heard all day. You really have no idea what you are talking about huh? It would take more than a trip to Wikipedia to enlighten an individual of your mental capacities. I can think of a few places to send you.

          • ConcernedReader

Vacuous dolt? Delightful. You know, using words like “vacuous” ceased to be impressive in sixth grade. In honor of grade school tactics, I’ll use some sixth-grade math to show the absurdity of your assertion.

According to the UK’s 2011 census, there are 63,182,178 people in the UK. 55,010,359 are white (87%). 1,904,684 are black (3%). The other races compromise 6,267,161 people (10%). Still with me?

To have a white minority race today, one race (we’ll go with blacks) would have to outnumber whites by only 1. So to hit that number assuming zero population growth among whites and non-black races in the next 25 years (which is impossible, but just for the sake of argument we’ll assume it is possible), we’d need to see these numbers:

            55,010,359 whites
            55,010,360 blacks
            6,267,161 non-black other races.

This correlates to a 17.5% average annual growth rate for the UK’s black population. The current overall growth rate for the UK is 4.8%. So you’re asserting that at minimum, blacks along are going to start tripling the UK’s average growth rate for the last thirty years. Highly unlikely.

Now let’s figure in reality. A 4.8% yearly growth rate will make the UK’s population 203,998,351 in 25 years. Assuming the white population mirrors that rate, we’re looking at 177,613,734 whites in the UK in 25 years. To make the whites a minority at that point, blacks would have to have an annual growth rate of 19.75%, giving us these numbers:

            177,613,734 whites (up 322.87% from 2014′s 55,010,359)
            177,613,735 blacks (up 9325.10% from 2014′s 1,904,684)
            20,234,782 non-black other races. (up 322.87% from 2014′s 6,267,161)

This would thus affect the overall growth rate as the total population would have to be 375,462,251 to accommodate the growth; the overall growth rate then would be 7.4%.

            So you’re asserting that somehow:
            1) The UK’s overall population will increase 54% faster than it has for the last thirty years as an additional 175,709,050 blacks stampede into the United Kingdom, or that;
            2) Blacks will out-reproduce whites in the UK at a rate of 31.08 to 1; and that
            2) The number of blacks in the UK will be 93.25 times higher in 2039 than it is today, while the number of whites will only be 3.22 times higher.

Mathematically and statistically this is not only improbable but completely absurd. I’d be willing to bet any sum of money that you are wrong. This is what losing an argument looks like. If you can find a flaw in my calculations I dare you to prove me wrong.

          • Dani

          • ConcernedReader

            1) Your UK articles refer to 2066, not 2039 as you asserted. That’s a difference of 27 years. You stated this could happen in 25 years, not 52. 52 is more than 25. No real calculation needed there. Also, I appreciate your attempt to undermine verifiable census numbers applied to basic multiplication and exponential growth equations them by putting “calculations” in quotations. It makes you look willfully ignorant. Commas also go inside quotation marks when setting off dependent clauses.

            2) This prediction which is based on the unfounded assumption that a sudden recent increase in immigration will continue for the next 52 years. This is an intensely speculative assumption. It’s akin to saying “It’s two degrees hotter today than yesterday. If that continues we’ll be boiled alive in six months!” Mathematically that’s true, but realistically impossible.

            3) The person who made this claim defines “white minority” as the point where whites compose less than half of the population of the UK, where all other races would then equal over half the population. At that point, the white race would still be the majority race over any other single race. To see a true white minority, another single race would need to outnumber whites. And just for reference, worldwide…whites ARE a minority. We make up just over 16% of the world population. Asians on the other hand make up over 58%. Oooooh, scary, jeepers.

Nothing you submitted was proof of anything, other than one man speculating at what may happen if a recent spike in immigration rates continued. For over 50 years.

Your US articles are irrelevant and not at issue as we were referring solely to the UK.

Keep trying though, it’s fun to argue with people who lack critical reasoning skills.

          • Dani

I never said 2039. That was someone else’s post. I said that your question of “How do you go from 85% to a minority in less than one generation” would be answered in your lifetime. The year 2066 would certainly fall within one generation. If it helps, try reading aloud. Also, that comma is right where it belongs. When it comes to quotations, I prefer the British convention, because unlike you, it follows logic. Willfully ignorant is a good way to describe someone who was just proven wrong but who cannot accept it. You obviously didn’t read the articles, because if you had, you would not be referring to the professor’s projections as wild speculation. I am sure you feel you know better than the Oxford Professor of Demography, which gives me a glaring indication of just how oblivious to reality you are. You keep talking about how it is only a prediction, but your whole argument was that it was not possible. Clearly, it is. The U.S. articles are relevant, because you said that it was impossible, and absurd that an 85% majority could become a minority in one generation. Yet this is precisely the forecast for at least two different countries. Everyone seems to understand that when the White population ceases to be the majority, they become a minority. No one ever said they had to be the only minority. They would not necessarily be the majority over any other single race, because the racial make-up of the future migrant population is still an unknown. Blacks could easily reach higher numbers when the rampant influx of Muslim immigrants from African countries combines with the current Black population. Whites are a minority in the world, but the world is also 15% Black, 9% Southeast Asian, 8% Hispanic, and 8% Middle Eastern, so by your logic they cannot be a minority because there are still other races with fewer numbers. It is very unfortunate when a person faced with indisputable defeat cannot just admit they are wrong. It shows a real lack of character. You are not saving any face with your ridiculous grasps at coherency. If your new argument is that no one can definitively predict the future, than you can have that. No one, including you, can say whether or not Whites will become a minority in 50+ years. Those with the credentials to determine the possibility and probability of this happening have clearly shown that it is both possible, and probable under current migratory conditions. If you knew anything about politics, then you would know that there are certain people who want very much to maintain the open borders policies in place now.

          • ConcernedReader

The other commentor said “England was 100% white for 2000 years, in 25 or 30 years, they will be a minority in their ancestral land.”

I said “How do you go from 85% to a minority in less than one generation?”

One generation equals roughly 25 to 30 years. See http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/generation, “the term of years, roughly 30 among human beings, accepted as the average period between the birth of parents and the birth of their offspring.”

You use “generation” when you mean to say “lifetime.” It’s okay, I’ll let you slide on that one. Words are tough.

When it comes to grammar, you can go ahead and use your “Well, I do it like England does it” argument. Doesn’t make you correct in America, but I’ll let that one go.

Again, you fail to have proved anything. I did indeed read the articles. To wit, “[o]n current trends European populations will become more ethnically diverse, with the possibility that today’s majority ethnic groups will no longer comprise a numerical majority.” Possibility denotes speculation. Speculation based on the premise of “if Britain continues along current trends…” As I said, anything is possible if you preface it with “based on the current trend,” see e.g. “It’s two degrees hotter today than yesterday. If that continues we’ll be boiled alive in six months!” Given that humans on average are two inches taller today than they were a hundred years ago, it doesn’t mean we’ll all be nine and a half feet tall in two thousand years. Possible, but not probable.

Possibility and probability are not synonyms. Again, it’s okay. Words are tough. It’s possible that an airplane could suddenly crash into my front yard, but it is not probable. I said your and the reports’s author’s assertions are highly improbable. This is why he is the only person making these claims. It’s one man’s conjecture, not something so statistically probable as to consider it inevitable.

I think you are “on to something”: I’ve heard demographers call the mass exodus of whites from the large, urban areas to surrounding suburbs and small towns “the largest human migration in world history.” I don’t know how accurate that is, but I’ve certainly seen some of it, myself. It is why a map of the United States is almost entirely “Red,” except for dark “Blue” dots where all the large, urban areas are with all their n*gger savages.

It would not surprise me if this happened to be one of the motives of the Obama Administration for involving itself in this. Why does there only have to be one motive?

        • Kyle

It’s called agenda 21 where they want to make rural areas and remote areas off limits to people and have us all crammed into massive cities living in Stalinist Soviet style human dwellings and yes there is a mass exodus of whites into the rural areas. The cities will eventually be inhabitable with the large presence of blacks and hispanics.

          • Don

No, of course not. This is about stoves going into residences that haven’t even been manufactured yet. All the new legislation does is require new stoves to release less cancer-causing agents and particulates into the air than the old stoves. Madness is the absurd logical slippery slope that you introduced. Read critically.

      • obot

Wood burning stoves are a cause of cancer? People have been burning wood for heat and to cook food for thousands of years. You’re an idiot troll.

        • Runaboutsocietyman

Newer airtight wood stoves keep more of the carcinogens out of the burner’s living space, however they deliver more carcinogens to the burner’s neighbors. One wood stove in one hour produces approximately 4,300 times more polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (known to be carcinogenic for over thirty years) than thirty cigarettes. Burning two cords (a cord of wood is a pile which measures 8 feet by 4 feet by 4 feet) of
wood produces the same amount of mutagenic and carcinogenic particles as driving 13 gasoline
powered cars 10,000 miles @ 20 miles per gallon.

It is the way that you burn wood and what wood you burn that effects the composition and volume of the smoke. A fireplace has an excess of air and oxygen. A wood stove or coal stove is air and oxygen starved. This design (dating from Benjamin Franklin) causes the wood stove to produce more energy but
          also more carcinogens.

If you want to argue with incontrovertible scientific facts then you might as well argue that humans don’t need water to survive. An idiot troll makes arguments like “[p]eople have been burning wood . . . for thousands of years,” therefore they don’t cause cancer. That’s facially illogical and frankly a little terrifying that people like yourself are so willing to create arguments without a shred of factual support just so they won’t have to face the notion that their opinions and beliefs might be wrong.

          • Runaboutsocietyman

          • ConcernedReader

I love it. I post raw data from several different studies showing that, among other things, one wood burning stove burning for an hour produces substantially more carcinogenic substances than 13 vehicles driving 10,000 miles getting 20 mpg, and someone deletes it and calls me a “f@gg0t.” This is just too hilarious. I’m not making this up, man. Google “word burning stoves carcinogenic” and you’ll find dozens of articles from different studies that all have the same result. It’s just true. No script, just ten minutes of non-biased research.

Statist bootlicker? Snuff me like a candle? Paid shill? I love it. This is some really quality stuff here. If you honestly believed I was wrong, why remove my post? Wouldn’t others be able to pick apart my statement and show that you’re right? Of course not. I was right, I’m just an average citizen, and you are thoroughly afraid that you might be wrong. It’s okay to change your mind if evidence dictates flawed reasoning.

I’m no paid shill man. If I was, what administration would pay me to argue with people on some fringe nutjob website? What’s the exposure here? What, I’m getting paid to try to change three militant conservative’s minds about the potential health hazards of breathing smoke? Wouldn’t it be a better use of the administration’s time just to let you choke on your own hot air?

Get it? Hot air? Smoke? See where I’m going with this?

  • Siafuyu

Uncle Bob, yes, madness, socialism, evil. This is what happens when you put a muslame/kenite in the whitehouse. So proud I never voted for him.

    • Uncle Bob

The Public Relations guy in the white house has nothing to do with it – you give him far too much credit. I think when Obama leaves this gig, he can go on to become an insurance spokesman so we can see his face every time we turn on the TV.
(I’m sorry I pointed out this possibility – I’m gonna cut off my fingers now)

    • Runaboutsocietyman

Are you retarded? Reducing the amount of smoke and pollution in the air is madness, socialism, and evil? I have to believe you’re joking, there’s just no way an adult could be this ignorant.

      • Uncle Bob

A transition to electric cars would clean the air much quicker and wood stoves have little effect at all. This seems to be a power move by energy corporations to force people who are getting free/cheap energy to pay up. If you can’t smell the crony capitalism this entails then you might have an IQ of 70 yourself. I wonder how many power companies have their own employees working at the EPA?

        • Runaboutsocietyman

I fail to see how a marginally more expensive wood stove would benefit electric companies. A wood stove is an item bought once, maybe twice during a house’s life cycle. An extra $50 (if the new requirements even increase the cost of the end product) over 30+ years of homeownership is not unreasonable, and would be highly unlikely to discourage a wood stove buyer from his purchase. And wouldn’t forcing a switch to electric cars be an even bigger “power move by energy corporations,” forcing gas buyers to be dependent on electric energy? Your arguments don’t follow a central theme other than “Obummer sez it’s good and he’s always wrong so there.”

          • Uncle Bob

I’m using the generic term energy and power to represent natural gas, propane, home heating oil, kerosene ect.
So when people get funding to buy their new heating device will they be allowed to get the new wood burners or will the government force them get something else? Will certain companies get the contracts?
You sure trust your government. You must be real good at “Simon Says”
People are already dependent on electricity but then you ad the outrageous expense of thousands of dollars dumped into a vehicle’s gas tank every year and the oil companies just love it. Becoming more powerful than nation states.
A friend of mine got a Chevy Volt – now he rarely goes to a gas station for anything. He put more efficient lights in his house to compensate for the re charger in the garage and thinks everyone else is a fool for dumping so much $ into their gas tank and out into the environment.
The only reason we don’t all have electric cars right now is because fossil fuel is what backs up our currency. The Petro dollar.

          • Moto

The guy you’re replying to has 17 comments, all of them on this site. All of them betray an obvious leftist bias. He’s also retarded, there’s no possible way banning wood stoves in America could even make a dent in “smoke and pollution in the air” as China pumps out billions of tons more emissions in a day than we do in a year.

The only possible reason for banning wood stoves is…to ban wood stoves,i.e. to intrude on the freedoms of Americans just because you can. If it puts additional hardships on rural whites, well, that’s a bonus in the new “equal” America, because whites have “white skin privilege”.

This is bad because they enjoy unearned benefits simply for being born. Of course, everyone who has been born enjoys the benefit of life through no labor of their own, but somehow whites enjoy these benefits ESPECIALLY because their race is inherently EVIL, even though whites don’t exist because race is a social construct.

          • ConcernedReader

Look chief, I’m not making this up. Fireplaces and wood stoves are a significant source of air pollution in the United States. We’re not talking about China. You can delete my comments because you can’t fathom that you might be wrong about something. Again, nobody is banning wood stoves. They’re just trying to make the NEW stoves cleaner. Why? So our air is cleaner. So our kids don’t get lung cancer. Thousands of non-smokers die every year from carcinogenically-caused cancer. How you turn this into a racially-motivated act is beyond me.

According the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), wood burning is not environmentally friendly. In fact, wood results in high levels of air pollution that can harm the environment and your health.

“The largest single source of outdoor fine particles entering into our homes in many American cities is our neighbor’s fireplace or wood stove,” says Dr. Wayne Ott of Stanford University. ( A doctor from one of the most prestigious colleges in the world. Not a “paid shill.” )

Wood smoke contains many of the same chemicals as cigarette smoke, including carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, hazardous metals, and known carcinogens such as formaldehyde, dioxin, benzene, and toluene. Inhaling wood smoke appears to be just as dangerous – or even more dangerous – as inhaling tobacco smoke. An EPA study concluded that breathing wood smoke particles during high pollution days is equivalent to smoking 4 to 16 cigarettes. Medical studies have linked air pollution with lung cancer, heart attacks, strokes, high blood pressure, congenital heart defects, asthma, and even brain damage. People most at-risk for damage from air pollution include asthma sufferers, diabetics, those with congenital hearth failure, and children.

Dr. Ramierez-Venegas of the UK (Another doctor from outside the U.S. Again, not a “paid shill.”) explains, “Biomass [wood] smoke is composed of a relatively equal mixture of coarse and ultra-fine particles and can penetrate deeply into the lung, producing a variety of morphologic and biochemical changes.”

“Mammalian lungs don’t have defenses against small particles,” points out Joel Schwartz of the EPA. “Particulate pollution is the most important contaminant in our air… We know that when particle levels go up, people die.”

          • ConcernedReader

And, Moto, because you seem hell-bent on arguing the idea that these new stoves are bad, I’ll re-post what I stated above:

The new EPA-certified stoves are designed to promote secondary combustion, which burns off chemicals and gasses before they leave the stove, making the smoke cleaner. Further, older stoves are more expensive to run because they burn more wood. The secondary-combustion stoves are more efficient at heating your house. In addition, some new stove purchases qualify for tax breaks as renewable and efficient energy sources. Some towns allow a property tax exemption equal to the value of the system. There is also a state tax credit of up to $6,000 for qualified systems that provide up to 75 percent of a home’s heating needs.

This is seriously a win-win-win for everyone involved.

The narrative here is “Hey America, we’re using a technology to heat our homes that hasn’t changed for over two hundred years. We have the technology to make these things way more efficient at heating your house, make them produce less pollution, and you even get a tax break for installing one if the new ones happen to be any more expensive. If you already have one, great! Use it and enjoy it, no reason to go get a new one.”

This is not a bad idea. It has nothing to do with socialists, commies, blacks, whites, nothing. It’s for everyone’s benefit.

          • Uncle Bob

Either way, somebody somewhere will get hit with a nasty fine for not living up to your totalitarian regulations.
Why not call for the nerfing of the world since falling down leads to bruises.

        • ConcernedReader

Thanks for deleting my comments and banning me from the site, whomever it was. It just goes to further my point; if you truly disagree with someone, find evidence that supports your position and refute their assertion. Don’t just plug your ears and run away. That’s what children do.

Plus, has anyone here even looked into the science of the new stoves? Why they’re cleaner than the old ones?

      • Sarrah Goldblume

        My skin is my uniform.

    • obamaisafool

The correct translation of Matt 24:7 is “People-group will rise against people-group…” not ‘nation will rise against nation’. A people-group is a race.
Yes, your race IS your nation, and race will rise against race. It is inevitable.

      • FinlayOdalric

Your statement does not make much sense. A people-group certainly can be a race, but a people-group is not inherently nor necessarily a race. A people-group is not an explicitly biological term. The reason your race is your nation is not because of a ‘people-group’ concept. The reason your race is your nation is because that is LITERALLY what the word nation means.

Nation is from the Latin word Nationem. From natio “birth, origin, breed, stock” and natus, past participle of nasci “be born”. As you can see, this is a specifically biological word. Your race is your nation because nation is a biological term which indicates your biological origin.

Patriot also holds a similar definition. A patriot, is not a government, flag, or country worshiping moron. To be a patriot, is essentially to be “a racist”. A patriot, is a nationalist. Patriot is of Greek-Latin origin. From, Patrios “Of one’s fathers”, Patris “fathers’ land”, and pater (genitive patros) “father”.

These word’s meanings have indeed been… “warped” in recent times. But in
recent times, what hasn’t? This is also why “nationalism” is abhorred in
recent times, and why the government views patriots as “potential terrorists”. Because (real) nationalism and (real) patriotism = “racism”. The idea that a patriot, or a nation, is a non-racial entity defined by and loyal to a system of government and its’ imaginary borders on a map, is a VERY recent (and false) notion. In the long-term historical sense, a nation and a patriot, is a race/tribe, and the loyalty to that race/tribe.

        • Earl P. Holt III

That was elegant: How did you remember all that Latin…? (I’m embarrassed at how much I’ve forgotten…)

          • FinlayOdalric

Remember how in Orwell’s 1984, the people are kept under control by deliberately ‘sabotaging’ the language they use? He called it “newspeak” if I recall. After I “got wise” to that trybe, I realized that distorting and misrepresenting words until they no longer mean or even resemble their original intent/purpose was what THEY do. Blatantly and deliberately. Orwell’s book doesn’t tell you who is doing it, but it does ‘tell’ you that ‘confusing’ a people’s language makes them easy to trick, confuse, deceive, and ultimately keep under control. I have not yet studied Latin… But after I realized this, I got into the habit of researching the etymology of words.

A people who does not understand the words they use, are doomed to being deceived. ‘They’ know this very well. And it shows in their choice of occupations, lawyers, merchants, media, and politicians! If anyone wants to take up learning additional languages, my advice is to take up German and Classical Latin. English is based primarily on Latin rules, and many words have Latin origin, but a few rules and the majority of ‘common-use’ words are Germanic in origin. Those are the ‘foundations’ of English. So you aren’t just learning German and Latin, you’re also expanding your understanding of English at the same time. Our children really should be taught to be multilingual, and those are the 3 languages I would propose they learn!

          • dave

            Sprechen Sie Deutsch?

          • FinlayOdalric

I wish. But not yet. Still in the very early stage.

Protip. I know a lot of people these days try to learn languages through software. If anyone wants to learn another language, Rosetta Stone will assault you with so much ‘diversity’ you will shoot your monitor. They try to teach you “German” by using pictures of fully naked African trybes, burka wearing arabs, and midget mongols. Pictures of white people are few in number. They use the same picture sets for every single language. So stay clear of that garbage.

          • Earl P. Holt III

You are probably familiar with this quote already, but Vladimir Lenin once stated that “…the first duty of the propagandist is to subvert the meaning of words…”

          • Siafuyu

So true of the Bible also. Being drug to every type of church when I was growing up, I grew disallusioned and finally quit going. I knew there had to be more to God’s word, especially when the “pastors” I was hearing only pulled a couple verses out of the Bible each Sunday and taught on those. I knew something was wrong with “Eve eating an apple”, Adam joining in and God punishing them for

          • Leslie Griffin

Consider, Adam and Eve were not punished for eating the fruit, per se. They were punished for disobedience of a commandment.
There are numerous problems with the Bible, as translated, but that is the least of them. IMO

Wood Stoves? Lets talk Benghazi or the unarmed woman shot in front of the white house she part of the secret IRS scandal or Fast and Furious? Why you think they are banning wood stoves? Trees quit living off of CO2 now? If your one of the 5% that approve of Congre$$ I am not sorry. If your just clueless I was being sarcastic because I am not a satisfied customer. But I am 100% Loyal to my Country and he is stirring up poverty every chance he can get. My grandma cook with a wood stove he would have forced her to stave. My apologies, I was trying to reply to “ccwriter,” not you. The idea that Congress’s deepest desire is to burn us all in wood ovens is just so absurd I couldn’t even fathom the thought process.

          • StandUpAmerica59

ConcernedReader, You need to review history. Look at prewar Germany in the 1920′s and 30′s. The evidence is all there if you connect the dots. Then look at the history of Russia and China during the Communist revolutions, and you will see where the term “Useful Idiots” comes from and what happens to them once there is no one to stand in their way.

The list of Congressional members who are also members of the American Socialist Party (Communist Party) now stands at 70. Just Google Congress and American Socialist Party, and you will find this to be true. If you were actually concerned you would know this, and a whole lot more already. But it’s not too late.

          • Don

Sound like a concerned liberal to me. You take what ccwriter was saying literally when he meant it figuratively. Your either real stupid or playing the shame card either way your still a troll.

          • ConcernedReader

No, not a troll at all. I just get a kick out of debating ignorant white supremacists who don’t know the difference between “your” and “you’re” and use terms like “liberal” as swear words. It’s a bit like being allowed to box children. I know it’s not fair but it’s still fun. And as you can see above, I questioned the seriousness of his comment, which implied that I was curious as to whether he was speaking literally or figuratively. Either way it’s still an absurd statement.

Banning the purchase of inefficient and polluting wood stoves doesn’t equate to you not being able to use what you have….

Oh for heaven’s sake, Andrew…the particulate from wood burning stoves is natural, just like the wood it burns. More pollutants in the air and earth cause by the manufacture of solar panels and batteries for electric cars. The government just wants to control everything we do and say. it’s tyranny.

          • scoote1019

Achrisa…coal is natural as well…so if we breath coal particles its fine? Tobacco plants are natural…so particles from cigarettes should be fine too right? Bottom line is if you can make stoves burn cleaner so that there isnt as much dust, soot, or particles in your home why would you not want that? Hes not requiring you to get rid of your old stove. If you like the particles in your air keep it. He is just saying new ones should burn cleaner. Its up to you if you wanna buy a newer model or not.

I may be in love with you, Don. (And I’m only replying to you directly because you’ve tried to call me out a few times on this site.) First, sentences start with a capital letter. Second, “he” shouldn’t be in quotation marks and neither should “him.” Third, “ball less” is properly presented as “ball-less.” Fourth, “their” is the wrong word, you meant “they’re.” Fifth, you’re trying to make a proper noun of “bath house Barry,” which should be “Bath House Barry.” Sixth, Bath House Barry? I’ll give you the mild alliteration but I’m not sure how you get a homosexual vibe from a guy with a wife and two kids. Anyway, I love your work. Clearly I’m battling wits with a Ph.D. candidate here.

          • scoote1019

Also I dont think you represent WE THE PEOPLE. You are a slim portion of hateful uneducated Americans. Actually, there is no reason to believe that absolutely nobody runs for Congress with that hope. Unlikely, but since when do the elected people actually run any government? Those that we elect do what they are told to do or face assassination. Ask JFK.

They cant assassinate all of the presidents for standing for what’s right. Every time we get any kind of leader that stands for the people in a good way, they are put down, permanently. JFK, MLK, even John Lennon and more lesser-knowns than we can count. This country is a sick, sick place and all other SANE countries know it. Only now are people truly realizing what chemical are in our food, what we’ve been feeding ourselves and our children, our fluoride “issues” that most other countries already know is horrible and have BANNED. I could go on for days, but what’s the point? I have no power here. I am a 30 year old white woman with 2 kids, a husband that works his ass off for everything we have, I rent and can barely afford that and food and bills like 80% of people in this cuntry, yes I misspelled that on purpose, my husband had a felony at 18, so he can’t even own a gun and we live in a neighborhood where crack deals are made in our driveway. Like I said, I could go on and on. What we need to do is take matters into our own hands. to hell with this political bullshit. Overthrow this sadistic reign of communists.

I absolutely agree with your first comment… But the second is a ridiculous notion based on war-time propaganda that never ended. We’re not told the truth about WW2, or any of the people or events that lead up to, surrounded, and followed it. People who do not go back and re-examine the people and events that lead up to, surrounded, and followed, WW2, will never in their lives understand the situation we are living in/under today. It is thee one vital piece of information needed to put our current (insane) paradigm into the perspective that allows us to actually understand and solve it.

    • Bartek

Would McCain or Mitt be any different?
Obama, like the majority of public officials is just a dupe designed to deflect anger from the real control freaks.

    • whthfk1

Them Muslim Roots are buried deep, deep, deep into his soul..

    • Scott Jones

      What is wrong with you?

  • Tommy

How on earth could this Communist control freak ever get electedbto the highest position in the greatest freest country in the world. It baffle the mind. I wish he would just go away.

    • Earl P. Holt III

The simple answer is that there are now more parasites, morons, n*ggers, queers, communists, criminals, leftist J*ws, and illegals than there are decent people who feed, house, clothe, subsidize them and educate their bastards…

      • Bill Povse

I love how you are a racist and don’t have a clue about this story or life in general.

        • Earl P. Holt III

I prefer “realist,” but couldn’t care less how silly people “label” me…

        • BobWhitakerisokay

“Racist” is a hate word too.

          • Guest

            Like “rapist” a hate word.

          • Runaboutsocietyman

Like “rapist” is a hate word?

        • Earl P. Holt III

I prefer “realist,” but REALLY don’t care how silly liberals label me…

    • LACountyRedneck

Handouts. Paid by mostly White taxpayers.

  • Earl P. Holt III

The communists in the Executive Branch cannot police this: Now is the time to engage in civil disobedience. (I recommend oak and hickory, supplemented with some cedar for the ambiance…)

    • Tim Boone

      Berlin Wall is not comparable.

      • Earl P. Holt III

        Not comparable to WHAT…?

        • Tim Boone

To this story. It does not correlate. I am all in against Obama, but using argument such as the “Berlin Wall” is just silly.

          • Nevsky

I don’t think Earl’s point is that the Berlin Wall is similar to this. Rather that after the fall of the wall, communists took up environmentalism to provide a smokescreen for their Marxist agenda. I think that’s what Earl meant.

          • Earl P. Holt III

Thanks for defending me. All I had in mind was a response to someone’s questioning how we could elect this varmint to the White House, and why he would want to regulate wood stoves along with everything else…

          • FinlayOdalric

I don’t see how your comment wasn’t obvious in intention.
            Red = Communism.
            Green = Environmentalism.
When the wall fell, the communists knew they’d not succeed under the ‘banner’ of communism so they simply ‘changed suits’ in order to keep pushing marxist claptrap.
We all know the saying: “Same sh_t different as_hole”.
Seeing as the stoves are being regulated under ‘environmentalist concerns’, it definitely correlates to the story.

    • whthfk1

people do keep forgetting that… I have spent years telling family that after the fall of Communism, they went to environmentalist .

      http://newsbusters.org/blogs/kerry-picket/2008/11/02/obama-energy-prices-will-skyrocket

      • Earl P. Holt III

There was a Brit who was a regular contributor to the AMERICAN SPECTATOR back in the 1990s named Tom Bethell (sp?,) who kept his finger on the pulse of the European left. He issued this exact warning within weeks or months of the fall of the Berlin Wall, a phenomenon I continued to monitor for the next 20 years. He was right on the money.

However, of course, with the ascendancy (if you can call it that!) of Obama and the communist party, communism may be less of a stigma than it used to be, and the reds may be coming out of hiding and shedding their environmentalist “green”…

  • Remember

Obama is an idiot. Impeach this clown already.

    • Bill Povse

There is no total ban on stoves. The ruling is that all NEW stoves have to pass an air quality test. Old stoves can still be used.

      • LACountyRedneck

Which will require some over-priced filtration system, and likely eventually will require periodical testing. $$$

      • obamaisafool

they gonna regulate the methane in your farts next?

        • mlm

They already have it in the making! It’s called the carbon tax!

        • Runaboutsocietyman

          Are you in grade school?

      • BobWhitakerisokay

They are insuring that many who want to purchase a new stove will be facing prohibitive costs. There is nothing to prevent them from banning older, existing stoves sometime in the future if they fail an air test. There is nothing to prevent them from deciding what wood can and can’t be used or needs some emissions test, etc. Scarcity is the name of their game. They don’t care if people freeze in the dark.

    • Bartek

This isn’t Obama, Obama is just the front you are provided with to vent at.
The real enemy is the government which always remains and always gains more and more control over our lives.

  • Remember

The coal industry should rally in Washington against this idiot King. Have we ever seen a dumber President, I don’t think so.

    • Earl P. Holt III

The United Mine Workers’ union ENDORSED this communist in 2008, after which, he did everything imaginable to undermine (no pun intended) the industry and become anathema to the well-being of the U.M.W.’s rank and file.

This is the price the rank and file pay for surrendering their brains, balls, and souls to the UMW “leadership,” much like earlier generations surrendered everything they owned to the “Company Store.”

    • Runaboutsocietyman

Yes. George W. Bush. Herbert Hoover. Zachary Taylor. Warren G. Harding. James Buchanan.

Barack Obama was the head of the Harvard Law Review. That is an achievement that cannot be understated. It is an honor reserved for the very top of the class at the most prestigious and selective law school in the world. Dumb is simply not an adjective that can be rightly used to describe anyone who has been in that position.

      • LACountyRedneck

        Troll along.

  • Pat Jones

    Come try and take it…

    • Bill Povse

This is what the GOP want you to believe. It is in fact wrong. There is no ban on old stoves. The so called ban is a requirement that all NEW stoves pass an air quality test just like cars have to pass.

      • LACountyRedneck

Skrew the requirement. It’s simply more politics. The price of fuel is high already and many can’t afford the price of fuel much less a new stove. The government doesn’t enforce existing laws like immigration so I’ll make my own rules.

        • http://archive.org/details/antifederalist_0707_librivox The Federal Farmer

Search YouTube for “Rocket stoves” then build one.

        • whthfk1

Yes, they do not enforce our immigration laws they roll out the damn Red Carpet for the Illegals.

        • Runaboutsocietyman

Again, as Bill said above, nobody has to buy a new stove. IF someone buys a new wood stove in the future it will be a cleaner stove. That’s all.

          • LACountyRedneck

I understand. I keep my stove clean and don’t need yet another government inspector around. It’s amazing what you have to go through living in this county. Local area government overlaps state government which overlaps Uncle Sam. Never under any circumstances try to run a business or purchase income property here. It will drive you insane. I’m moving to the woods. Where does Mick Dodge live?

      • Pat Jones

The question is. Why? Shouldn’t that type of requirement be handled at the state or local level?

    • dgfsg

let them come down south and try it….it’d be sad for them to end up stripped down tied up to a tree out in the middle of the swamp….goes for gun grabbers too

      • Pat Jones

My problem is this: the federal government has no business intruding into the home. Next it will be the fact that someone has a chimney. There is less polution from my towns use of wood stoves than ! friggin’ vacation trip to Hawaii by Obama. Leave us the F alone

  • Tim Boone

This is an odd choice to take away.

    • obamaisafool

      No not really.
Their enemy is the preppers, the independents, those who fend for themselves and don’t rely on government cheese or are part of the ignorant masses.
It is fair to say probably 90% of preppers or independents own a wood stove.
They also plant gardens, most have a well or independent water source too. They will go after these next. How they will spin it that a garden is bad for the environment is beyond me, but they fooled the masses into thinking Obama was intelligent, so I guess anything is possible.

      • FinlayOdalric

They haven’t really fooled the people into thinking that gardens are bad… but they already have succeeded in forcing cities/counties/municipalities to pass ordinance codes / regulation that effectively makes it impossible to have a garden, in some areas. You can find videos on youtube of newsclips, of people complaining about being arrested or fined for having a garden in their yard. They really do hate people being independent!

    • Bill Povse

This story is BS it has been going around for over a year. They are not banning wood stoves. The are requiring that all NEW stoves pass an air quality test. It’s the same thing that cars have to pass.

      • Earl P. Holt III

If you are correct about this, particular news story, then I have a question for you: What is your response to the thousands upon thousands of other news stories on this site? Do you think they are all wrong and mis-information? (If so, you’ll probably be featured in one of them in the not-too-distant future…

  • Michelle Marie Cammett

Well if we have to depend on the Government for heat then they better give us more Fuel Asst. cuz I ran out a month ago and they told me there is no more money for more oil…I AM using my wood stove, come to my house and tell me I can’t cuz I’ll f-ing throw you
in the wood stove after I shoot your dumbo looking self & my dogs chew you to shreds….Obama needs to GET OUT!!!! If this were any WHITE president he would have been throw the hell out already, IMPEACH OBAMA!!!! No more funding for your vacations!!!

    • Runaboutsocietyman

Read the article. It has nothing to do with existing stoves in people’s homes, or stoves that have already been manufactured. It’s legislation that makes new stoves cleaner to help prevent pollution. I cannot see how you would object to that.

      • Leslie Griffin

We object to it because of the unnecessary additional expense of filtering out the smoke, then either replacing the filters (more manufacturing) or cleaning them; then where do the pollutants go?

        • ConcernedReader

There aren’t filters. The new EPA-certified stoves are designed to promote secondary combustion, which burns off chemicals and gasses before they leave the stove, making the smoke cleaner. Further, older stoves are more expensive to run because they burn more wood.

          • Leslie Griffin

            Thank you.

  • http://www.thepoliticalcesspool.org/ 1776is1984

I seriously cant believe some of these headlines nowadays, pollute the environment? is he high on something? like he doesn’t go around the world a million times on air force one.?

    • MooTieFighter

It’s evident when our politicians speak, it’s no longer “us”, it’s “you”. They are making rules/regulations for us, not them.

  • Bill Povse

This is total BS. The so called ban is actually a requirement that all NEW stoves pass an air quality test, just like the one that car manufactures have to go by with new cars. They are not telling you to stop using a stove you already have.

    • live free or die

The article doesnt imply that you have to stop using the stove you already have, you stupid White liberal maniac.

  • dave

The global warming scammers strike again. yeah,we live in a free nation.,

    • Bartek

The same people who fail to stop the Blacks from burning down the White peoples homes after they murder and rob them?

  • katzkiner

If you people are so fed up be in DC May 16, 2014 to restore a Constitutional Republic. Retired military are organizing the protest. Do some research, decide. This could our only and last chance to fix this nation. Yes ,we expect it to get ugly. Tyrants never go quietly. It has to start somewhere ,it has to start sometime, what better time than May 16, 2014?

  • haroldcrews

Rural voters don’t vote for Obama so ‘F’ them is his position evidently.

    • Earl P. Holt III

The idiots voted for him in Reynolds County, MO, which was a tremendous disappointment to me and one reason I lmoved from there…

  • Ladylisa60

It says epa made the restrictions so instead of pointing
The finger at who really pushed for this so something may
Get done about it, no you add Obama to the article and it creates anger and nothing gets changed. I am sick of finger pointing, nothing ever gets done

    • Bartek

      Blaming a ‘politician’ is futile.
The talking heads aren’t really the problem, the policies themselves no matter who gives the speech are the problem.

  • Jim

Have you seen the smoke from black powder rifles? I guess they’re next.

  • TheHabMan

The EPA can go pound sand. I am sure all this will do is create a black market in “illegal” stoves. Maybe people will just stop listening to government and live free for once.

  • BobWhitakerisokay

I saw a bumper sticker years ago, around the time the “environmentalists” were just getting started: “Environmentalists, let the bastards freeze in the dark”. Just as true now and they don’t dive a damn if we freeze in the dark.

  • DennisCLatham

this is a lie – all wood burning stoves are not banned – right wingers do any and everything to lie on Obama because of his skin color.

    • David P Mayton

Where does it say all? I guess lefties can’t read?

      • DennisCLatham

“”Where does it say all?”" – The title of this article says “”Obama regime bans wood-burning stoves”" – meaning ALL wood burning stoves. Only to get a bunch of people riled up over something that is a deceptions, lie and a trick. It doesn’t insinuate some wood burning stoves.

        “” I guess lefties can’t read?”"

        1.) I AM not a lefty
2.) I don’t belong to any political party
3.) I AM against all political parties because all are crooked – specially the right
4.) I AM a member of THE PARTY OF JESUS – THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST.

But …. always nice to be lied about – for those who are persecuted for righteousness sake ? The Kingdom of HEAVEN is theirs.

        Matthew 5:10
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

        • GutHater333

So since you don’t belong to any party you must love Hussein because of his skin color.

          What a racist.

          • DennisCLatham

“”So since you don’t belong to any party”"

I belong to THE PARTY OF JESUS.

“” you must love Hussein because of his skin color.”"

I LOVE everyone. Even you who hates me and lies about me.

            “”What a racist.”"

THANK you. You just proved my point. You’re a racist.

        • Uncle Bob

Fortunately most of the people here are quite literate and do indeed read the articles and even go further.
Check out this town- A whole ten days! In the smoky depths of winter! the horror!

          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHn75o0sQQU

          • DennisCLatham

As far as your video link – use the money you’ve been saving to buy a more safer wood stove or upgrade to a new one that obeys the regulations. Instead of trying to harm people to save some money.

“”Fortunately most of the people here are quite literate”"

and it seems that the deceptive titles of these articles are what draws so many here.
they have to make up lies to hate someone because of their skin color.

“” and do indeed read the articles”"

Well. If they actually read the article ? They could, should or would be adult enough to admit that the title of the article is a lie.
but nice of racists to use deceptions, lies and tricks to justify their hatred and ignorance.

            “” and even go further.”"

I AM sure – to be one to spread this nonsense to others who are blind, deaf, dumb, lost, simple and weak – and look for any excuse to hate Obama – when the core, foundation and root is because of his skin color.

          • Uncle Bob

Your persecution complex is charming but really I think I speak for many on here when I say most could care less what color the presidents skin is, it’s the fact he’s a tool, a public relations guy for a cartel of criminals that want to steal everything that is not nailed down. When I was a school boy I remember being taught that the president had to a Natural Born Citizen which means BOTH parents are American Citizens – this was in the Constitution and the LAW of NATIONS. This clause was meant to keep a foreign potentate from simply inserting their son into the Presidency, whether it be the Czar of Russia the Emperor of Japan or even the Kenyan Ambassador and representative of Her Majesty’s Commonwealth … Barrack H.Obama Sr.

Forgive us whites for wanting to live in a nation of our own folk the way every other people in the world have a right to, but you don’t seem to think we have a right to live in our own culture – among our own kind. When people do that to animals is causes their extinction. Why do blacks insist on living with us anyway when they have entire nations of their own kin that would welcome them in. I would love to visit Japan but I would not want to force the Japanese to tolerate me. They have their own thing going, It’s beautiful and natural and I would not want to disrupt it by going into a bar and hitting on all the Japanese girls in it or becoming a boxer and feel all proud of my self when I knock out the majority of the little Japanese men. You must see lies deception and hatred everywhere you look but it’s probably just a projection of your own mind.

        • David P Mayton

You’re going to post 10 paragraphs defending a man named Obama that you’ve never met and will never know, then tell me you are a disciple of Yeshua? I don’t think drone bombing children is on his agenda.

          • DennisCLatham

“”You’re going to post 10 paragraphs defending a man named Obama that you’ve never met and will never know,”"

I didn’t post 10 paragraphs …. that’s a lie. Lies are of satan and not GOD.

“” then tell me you are a disciple of Yeshua?”"

I AM a FOLLOWER OF CHRIST and A LIVER OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST.
CALLING OUT, EXPOSING or MENTIONING a lie against someone is not defending them
However – I AM glad to know and see you think it’s alright and ok to lie on someone – because you hate them.

“” I don’t think drone bombing children is on his agenda.”"

Obama isn’t the first president to use drones – but them again – you won’t admit that the title of this article is a lie.

    • GutHater333

The skin color thing is so old, nobody cares what color his skin is, he is doing a terrible job, I wouldn’t even care if his skin was the same color as feces as long as he does a good job. But he isn’t ohh and his skin is the same color as feces.

      • DennisCLatham

“”The skin color thing is so old,”"

No it’s not. I’ve seen many open and public racists on this site – the whole site is racist. Specially with that lying article about the first slave owner in America was black. However – they forgot to mention that he also was once a slave – by a caucasion.

“” nobody cares what color his skin is,”"

easy for racists to say – very easy. I don’t know any racist who will give anyone credit for doing anything good – that was good for ALL.

“” he is doing a terrible job,”"

Only because of his skin color – and because he won’t bend over, bow down and compromises with the evil, demonic, hateful, heartless, racist, satanic and wicked right wing of this evil and wicked country that was founded on evil and wickedness.

“” I wouldn’t even care if his skin was the same color as feces as long as he does a good job.”"

        Spoke like a true racist.

“” But he isn’t ohh and his skin is the same color as feces.”"

Nothing wrong with having brown skin. 98+% of the humans on earth have brown skin. Actually – most caucasions have brown skin. It’s just a really light brown skin – like beige or egg shell white – which is not WHITE. No on on this planet has black or white skin.

        • GutHater333

You creatures make it very difficult not to be racist with all your crying of racism, I’m so sick of hearing crybabies like you crying “dats raysiss, dats raysiss, boo hoo hoo”. You wanna see racism go over to aperica where they are exterminating the white race. Those genocidal jungle monkeys that you love so much are the most horrible beings on the face of the earth.

          • DennisCLatham

I don’t have to go to any aperica – I deal with what’s right here in america – it seems you need to go over there to save your so called white race – which I AM sure doesn’t have any white skin. although I know you wish your skin was white – but it’s not.

    • live free or die

Isnt it annoying when the moon crickets start chirping?

      • DennisCLatham

Not at all. The title is a lie. Like many other titles on this hate filled web site. Truth is never liked where deceptions, lies and tricks are the normal mentality.
A totally lack of GOD and a majority of satan’s butt lick’n perverts.

I’m glad these stoves are easy to build. Black market stoves anyone?

  • whthfk1

Ok now lets look at it this way.. Wood burning stoves work without Electricity Gas no modern form of heating. During a blackout in the dead of Winter you can still heat your home and keep your family from freezing to death. Obama wants everyone so dependent on Oil then he will take that away.. He did say before being elected into office that the price of energy would unnecessarily skyrocket under his plan..What did the stupid Americans do… They elected this piece of crap TWICE!!!!

  • Justin

I am a repuplican and cannot stand Obama. But these laws have been moving forward for a long time. My dad owns a fireplace and stove company here in southern Illinois. He only sells the EPA certified high efficiency stoves. Most of the units that they are talking about in this article are the old dirty burning creo-soot factories that DO in fact need to be retired. The new stoves out today would be like comparing a 1970 ford Lincoln to a 2013 one. It will get you there but it will take longer, use more fuel, not as safe, and won’t be riding in style like a new one. The technology is just incomparable. Check out the specs of different styles of units at Travis Industries (Avalon, Lopi,Fireplace Xtrordinair). Look at the burn times, heating capabilities, and grams per hour. They don’t lie. And if you are one of the people that think you heat your house with an open wood burning fireplace, you are on crack. Look it up. They have done tons of studies. Its actually a negative efficiency on the house.

    • Bartek

Still not the business of a self regulated, self policed, Federal Agency.
As for the Republican game, I and others have our reasons for no longer supporting the GOP, out of control Federal Agencies and support for central governance are among them.

Oops! Posted before ready! Anyway, why would God punish someone for eating an apple?
Then I was introduced to a Pastor that blew me away. He did FULL Bible teaching and I learned things I had not even come close to learning anywhere. And following along with my own Bible and him teaching with a Concordance taking it all back to the way it was written, I eventually was taught everything that is going on in this world today, but knew it 20 years ago! Even the muslims swarming the world, it speaks of strangers taking our land. Speaks of a raiser of taxes in our whitehouse, sin, and on and on.

And it wasn’t an apple Adam and Eve ate in the garden. What they did was the start of all our troubles today. No wonder people think God is non-exsistent. His word is taught like a fairy tale and doesn’t help anyone that way.

In case anyone would like to find out the who’s, what, and whens of all this mess, find Sheperds Chapel on your channel lineup. It is all Biblical and it gives me great peace of mind and a heads up on what is coming. Hasn’t missed yet in 22 years.

  • Scott Jones

You people are insane. The EPA is imposing stricter regulations toward the emissions of NEW wood stoves in NEW houses. This doesn’t mean if you bought your stove 2 years ago the government is going to break down your door and arrest you. As technology advances, we find new ways to make cleaner (and safer) wood burning stoves, regulations have to change as well to ensure progress and a better environment for everyone. Considering most of those affected are residents of rural areas, it’s surprising that so many people resist change that enforced to preserve the environment, land on which we live, and air that we breathe. This is literally no different than enforcing stricter emissions standards for new cars (yes that already happens) as more efficient technologies are introduced to market.

  • inotherwords

Sometimes I feel like the EPA could limit the amount you were allowed to breath in a day and the left wouldn’t bat an eye.

I don’t have a woodstove but this is BS. People should heat their home by choice. If there’s Pro Choice in other things then this should be a choice also,

  • Bubbamelon

Call me crazy, but this is bigger than burning wood in caste iron stoves. It’s a method of control if you live country and various levels of “off the grid”.

  • OutWest Landowner

I will just build my own. They can’t regulate that.

  • Dee

When I was a kid we had a family friend, a mountain man, he built his own home lived off fish from the river he lived next too and veggies he grew himself. He had a wood burning stove and slept in a sleeping bag in front of it. The stove caught the sleeping bag on fire and he died of carbon monoxide before he and his home burned to the ground. I’ll never allow one of those stoves in my home.

  • AugFly

As Malcolm Reynolds once said, “I aim to misbehave”.

  • Sharon Farrell

My electric is so high I have to use my woodburning stove to keep warm.

  • Hank Carson

Politicians have no control over the price of oil and coal. The prices of these commodities are driven by speculators.

    • Jack Galvin

Their POLICYS damn sure DO…..Pull your HEAD outta your ASS …

  • jack belifllingerjhonson

i wouldnt belive this if it had my name in it

  • beancrisp

FACT: This article is a lie.

  • Gerry Emery

Screw him! He can’t tell me how to live my life. MOST of the people in northern Idaho rely on wood-burning stoves.
As long as there are chainsaws, saws and axes, there will be wood to burn. What an idiot he is!

  • Ograf

NOTICE ** The current requirement is now in from the idiots that brought you no wood burning stoves:
It seems that too much methane is expelled from Washington DC, and they are ordered and directed to cease and desist this action immediately. It also smells badly.

  • Andy Wildschuetz

Maybe all of us need to stop debating about Obama being a nut and all his orders are just playing crazy, or he is a saint and he can’t do anything wrong, and start asking why is our president making new laws. Last time I checked, that’s why we have Congress and the House. “Under Article II of the Constitution, the President is responsible for
the execution and enforcement of the laws created by Congress.”

  • freedomcockrings

They arent banning wood burning stoves this is a undereducated article. Theyre implu ing regulations go new wood burning stoves. I hate obama as next as the next guy but pointing fingers at him over stupid Shi like this just makes you all look dumber than rocks. I use a wood to heat my house and the law doesnt saw I can’t use it. It says if I replace it that I have to get an enviormenenviorment uhh friendly one. Frankly I think its a smart idea. Let america burn all the wood we want but make sure sure its done in a conscious manner.

  • stealthdan

Next thing you know Obamaites will be directing the masses to the showers and then the stoves. History repeats itself.

  • DG Riquelme

I wonder what percentage of what is currently in place actually met the old standard of 15 parts, as opposed to the new standard of 12 parts . Also this does not in any way affect anyone from using their current wood burning stove.

  • Sarah Kay McKnight

Rights….what rights where did they go…i do not have a wood stove in my home at the moment and my electricity bill is 1200 dollars who can afford this especially when i only bring home that much money in a months time and that is going to work for 40 hours a week.

  • Edee Wilson

That’s BULLSHIT — I’d like to put a certain someone where the Sun Don’t Shine!!!

  • Mike g

Will they be able to stop people from buying and selling them on Craigslist?
Or how about building you own if you have the skills?

    I doubt it!

  • Mark Howie

omg run run obama is going to take your wood stove lmao

    • LACountyRedneck

He wants you living check to check. His puppeteers demand it.

  • smallbear_777

I’d like the arrogant man to come and personally TRY to remove my heat source. Screw him.

  • Chris

Hahahahaha. You people are so simple. Do you actually think this is real? If you do I have a bridge for sale. Fair price and a nice view. Let me know.

  • scoote1019

Thats a bunch of crap. Hes not banning them..hes requiring new ones that are sold to burn cleaner. Most wood burning stoves dont have any standards and kick out a lot of dust, soot, and particles into your house which lead to lung disease and lung problems. He wants the manufactures to make them cleaner and more safe. This story is a bunch of propaganda.

  • scoote1019

Most stoves have no standards and kick our large amounts of dust soot and particles into your home. These contaminants lead to lung disease and lung problems. Obama is not requiring you to buy a new stove. If you like old one keep it. He is however requiring new ones that are built to burn clearer. You dont need to buy a new one if you prefer your old model. No one is forcing you to breath cleaner air.

    • JackNMeovslo

OMG … Did you see the information that scoote1019 just relayed to us … ” Obama is not requiring you to buy a new stove. If you like old one keep it”..

Now where on earth have I heard that before?

  • Jack Galvin

More Communist control by a MARXIST CLOWN that the WHOLE world is LAUGHING at…..Including YOU FOOL SHEEP that gave him his POWERS…SHAME on YOU. !!!!

  • Jack Galvin

  • Rocky Oneal

ok i know a solution to it all. we can just band Obama

  • Don

Just talked to my insurance carrier about an outdoor wood boiler. He stated that it would be hard to get an underwriter for the policy since they are so dangerous. I had to laugh and ask what made them dangerous? Really couldn’t answer that but said that is how there rated. Will probably get one anyway and he doesn’t need to know. Just more control of the common people by the world bankers. We are in for some very tuff sledding in the near future , keep em cleaned and loaded.
